Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive IT Officer (Orion ERP Specialist) to manage and support the company’s IT infrastructure and Orion ERP system within our manufacturing operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ERP administration, system upgrades, technical troubleshooting, network support, vendor coordination, and supervision of IT support personnel to ensure smooth and uninterrupted business operations.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership capability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the assigned IT support team, including mentoring, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Lead daily IT operations and ensure effective support for users across departments.
- Handle Orion ERP system administration, upgrades, configuration, training, and troubleshooting.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve ERP bugs and system-related issues promptly.
- Understand business requirements and implement system enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders and the IT team.
- Configure software applications independently or jointly with external support teams.
- Coordinate and manage software, hardware, network, and IT service vendors.
- Troubleshoot network and hardware issues in collaboration with the IT team.
- Provide technical support and guidance to functional users and department stakeholders.
- Monitor IT equipment requirements and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure proper workload distribution and adequate backup coverage within the IT team.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant IT and networking experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Orion ERP systems and enterprise application support.
- Sound knowledge of networking, hardware troubleshooting, and systems administration.
- Ability to manage ERP upgrades, configurations, and process improvements effectively.
- Experience coordinating with software, hardware, and network vendors.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with telecom or industrial software solutions will be an added advantage.
