The polytechnic offers National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in Art and Design (Fashion Design and Clothing Technology, and General Art), Business (Accountancy, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, Office Technology Management and Production Operations Management), Engineering (Agriculture and Bio-environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Foundry Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Welding and Fabrication) and Applied Sciences (Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics and Hospitality and Tourism Management).

Job Title: Registrar

Job Summary
- The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the Polytechnic, responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the institution.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Registrar shall:
- Serve as the Head of the Registry and custodian of Polytechnic records and documents.
- Act as Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, and other statutory committees.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Rector or Governing Council.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) in Social Sciences, Education, Arts, Humanities, or related fields with at least eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience; Or
- A Master’s Degree with at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience; Or
- A Ph.D. with at least twelve (12) years cognate experience.
Additionally, candidates must have:
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in a Polytechnic or similar TVET institution.
- Membership of a recognized relevant professional body.
- Attained the rank of Senior Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15 or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of Public Service Rules and the Polytechnic system.
- Proficiency in ICT and administrative systems.
Personal Qualities:
Applicants must:
- Not be more than fifty-nine (59) years old at the time of assumption of duty.
- Be physically and mentally fit, with evidence from a Government hospital.
- Be of proven integrity, impeccable character, and free from financial embarrassment.
- Demonstrate strong administrative leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
- Be non-partisan and capable of upholding institutional neutrality.
Terms of Appointment
- The appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years.
- Salary and conditions of service shall be as approved for Principal Officers of State Polytechnics.
