It is an indigenous, wholly Nigerian-owned company with 100% shareholding. The company is made up of professionals with proven abilities and exceptional skills, supported by up-to-date training and extensive experience in their respective professions. Its key staff are indigenous experts with both local and international exposure.

The management team has a wealth of experience in engineering, construction, and maintenance services, having previously managed and supervised many onshore and offshore facilities for major oil companies in Nigeria, which led to the name “Megashore.” Although recently established, Megashore Oilfield Services Limited is poised to compete favorably with other companies both locally and internationally in the provision of quality products and services to the oil and gas industry.

We are currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Lead

Location: Rivers
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Functions

  • Provide positive and professional leadership to all direct report and personnel at project
  • Coach and mentor the HSE personnel and other direct report to ensure professionalism and the company ’score
  • Provide advice and support to Project team on issues relating to occupational health and safety.
  • Support implementation of HSE policies, procedures, standard etc at the project
  • Delegate appropriate responsibility as maybe required whilst retaining overall accountability.
  • To ensure all project HSE deliverables (HSE plan, JHA, Budget, and Procedures etc.) are developed and approved by client.
  • Liaise with Project Manager and Client on all project HSE matters.
  • Ensure staff and subcontractors are medically fit prior to commencement of works.
  • Ensure implementation of company Health, safety, environmental and waste management policies and plans.
  • Ensure development and implementation of Project HSE training plan, to guarantee project HSE competencies.
  • Ensure project incidents are promptly reported to the Client, investigated, improvement recommendations promptly closed out and lessons shared.
  • Initiate and participate in all project risk assessments and HSE workshops, maintain register of all actions arising from the workshops and ensure results are implemented as work is executed.
  • Develop project emergency response procedures and implement measures to promote improvements.
  • Attend Client and Company's meetings, as required.
  • Lead HSE assessment team for the selection of Sub-contractors.
  • Ensure project HSE Audits are conducted in line with Project HSE Audit Plan and corrective actions promptly implemented.

Requirements; Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC.
  • ISO Certificates.
  • 6 Oil and gas field HSE experience, with at least 6 years in HSE (Major projects) management function.
