Job Title: Logistics Manager

About the Role

• We’re looking for a Logistics Manager to own end-to-end logistics operations and drive cost, speed, and service improvements across our supply chain.
• You’ll manage warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks to ensure on-time delivery while controlling cost-to-serve.

Key Responsibilities
Network & Operations Management:

• Oversee inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics across warehouses and 3PL partners.
• Optimize route planning, load utilization, and fleet operations to reduce cost per delivery.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, stock availability, and warehouse SOP compliance.

Cost & Performance Optimization:

• Manage logistics budget and negotiate contracts with transporters, 3PLs, and freight forwarders.
• Track KPIs: on-time delivery, order fill rate, damage rate, cost per ton-km, warehouse productivity.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce lead time and working capital tied in inventory.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and develop a team of 15-30 logistics, warehouse, and transport staff.
• Set targets, conduct performance reviews, and build capability in the team.
• Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and accountability across sites.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Procurement, and Finance to align logistics with business needs.
• Handle escalations from key customers and retail partners on service issues.
• Support new product launches and market expansions with scalable logistics plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in logistics/supply chain, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale distribution networks in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of TMS, WMS, and ERP systems. SAP/Oracle experience is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing 3PLs and working in multi-site, multi-channel environments.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage teams in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
