Job Title: Science and Accounting Teacher
Location: Woji, Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Main Purpose
- To educate students by delivering lessons, fostering learning, and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery
- Prepare and deliver lessons based on the curriculum
- Use different teaching methods to suit students’ learning styles
- Set clear learning objectives
Classroom Management:
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
- Manage student behavior effectively
- Ensure classroom safety
Student Assessment:
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and observations
- Provide feedback and track progress
- Prepare report cards and communicate results
Student Support and Development:
- Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses
- Offer extra help to struggling learners
- Encourage critical thinking and creativity
Communication:
- Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain attendance and academic records
- Participate in meetings, training, and school activities
Work Environment:
- Schools (primary, secondary, or higher education)
- Classrooms, online platforms, or training centers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject
- Teaching certification (varies by country/region)
- Experience (preferred in many cases)
