Job Title: Weapon Technician / Gunsmith
Location: Ode Remo, Ogun

Reports To: Technical Manager / Production Supervisor
Job Summary
- The Weapon Technician/Gunsmith will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of weapon systems and related mechanical components used within power armour manufacturing operations.
- The role requires strong technical competence, the ability to interpret technical materials and engineering drawings, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations:
- Assemble, inspect, maintain, and repair weapon systems and related components in accordance with technical specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Conduct functional testing and inspections to ensure operational reliability and compliance with specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and operational procedures accurately.
Production & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all weapon systems and components meet approved quality assurance standards.
- Perform routine inspections and document findings during assembly and maintenance operations.
- Identify defects, malfunctions, or non-conformities and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain detailed technical and maintenance records.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety procedures and controlled operational standards.
- Maintain proper handling, storage, and accountability of tools, components, and assigned equipment.
- Comply with all applicable operational and regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, quality assurance personnel, and production teams.
- Support technical troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support during testing and evaluation activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- OND/HND or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Armament Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field.
- 5–10 years’ relevant experience in weapon maintenance, gunsmithing, armament systems, or related technical operations.
- Military or paramilitary technical background is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret English technical materials and manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, precision fitting, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, discipline, and technical accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively within a controlled manufacturing environment.
