We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Weapon Technician / Gunsmith

Location: Ode Remo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Technical Operations / Production / Armament Engineering
Reports To: Technical Manager / Production Supervisor

Job Summary

  • The Weapon Technician/Gunsmith will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of weapon systems and related mechanical components used within power armour manufacturing operations.
  • The role requires strong technical competence, the ability to interpret technical materials and engineering drawings, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations:

  • Assemble, inspect, maintain, and repair weapon systems and related components in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Conduct functional testing and inspections to ensure operational reliability and compliance with specifications.
  • Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and operational procedures accurately.

Production & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all weapon systems and components meet approved quality assurance standards.
  • Perform routine inspections and document findings during assembly and maintenance operations.
  • Identify defects, malfunctions, or non-conformities and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain detailed technical and maintenance records.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to company safety procedures and controlled operational standards.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, and accountability of tools, components, and assigned equipment.
  • Comply with all applicable operational and regulatory requirements.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers, quality assurance personnel, and production teams.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support during testing and evaluation activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • OND/HND or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Armament Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field.
  • 5–10 years’ relevant experience in weapon maintenance, gunsmithing, armament systems, or related technical operations.
  • Military or paramilitary technical background is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret English technical materials and manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems, precision fitting, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, discipline, and technical accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively within a controlled manufacturing environment.
