We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Executive (Media Relations)

Location: Lekki, Lagos (Remote)

Job Summary

  • The Account Executive will serve as a key point of contact for assigned client accounts, driving the day-to-day execution of public relations, digital marketing, and strategic communications mandates.
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive communications professional with a strong understanding of the Nigerian media landscape, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to deliver measurable results for clients across diverse sectors.

Responsibilities
Client Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned client accounts, maintaining consistent communication, managing expectations, and ensuring all deliverables are executed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.

Campaign Planning & Execution:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement integrated PR and communications campaigns, including media outreach, influencer partnerships, content development, and event support, ensuring alignment with each client’s brand objectives and messaging.

Media Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and digital content creators across relevant beats; pitch compelling stories and secure consistent, quality media coverage on behalf of clients.

Content Development & Brand Storytelling:

  • Create and review a range of communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, feature articles, social media content, and presentations, ensuring each piece reflects the client’s brand voice and drives meaningful audience engagement.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance metrics, media coverage, and audience insights; present findings to clients in clear, well-structured reports and use data to continuously refine campaign strategies.

Business Development Support:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and new business, contributing to the preparation of proposals, credentials presentations, and pitches that position the agency’s capabilities effectively to prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in a PR, communications, or marketing agency environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape, including print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt tone and style across channels.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital communications tools.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing deadlines simultaneously.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, results-driven approach.
