Job Title: Dentist

Location: Festac, Lagos

Description

  • Clinix Healthcare is seeking an experienced, skilled, and patient-focused Dentist to join our dental team at the Festac branch. We are committed to delivering high-quality oral healthcare services with professionalism, compassion, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Carry out restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges), extractions, scaling and polishing, and root canal treatments.
  • Provide preventive dental care, including fissure sealants, fluoride applications, and oral health education.
  • Manage dental emergencies such as pain, trauma, and infections.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and advise patients on post-treatment care.
  • Collaborate with dental therapists, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the clinic management system.
  • Adhere to infection control, sterilization protocols, and radiation safety standards.
  • Promote oral health awareness and build long-term patient relationships.
  • Requirements & Skills
  • Excellent clinical skills in general dentistry with strong attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach especially with children and anxious patients.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy clinical environment.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in dental software and electronic records.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
  • 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable dental clinic or hospital.
  • Additional certification in areas such as implantology, orthodontics, or endodontics is an added advantage.
