Makaiza Farms Limited was founded in 2019 in Iwoye-Ijesha, Osun State, Nigeria, by Mr. Olufemi Joseph Agunbiade, a visionary entrepreneur with a deep passion for agriculture and sustainable development. Recognizing the abundant potential of oil palm in the region, Mr. Olufemi Agunbiade established Makaiza Farms Limited as a small-scale operation focused on oil palm planting and extraction of crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) from locally sourced palm kernel nuts. The company’s primary objective was to produce high-quality crude palm kernel oil to meet the growing demand from local soap and cosmetic manufacturers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Industrial Welder

Location: Osun

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Welder position located in Ilesha West.
• The Industrial Welder will be responsible for performing various welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment.
• Key responsibilities include executing MIG, TIG, and arc welding procedures, reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials for welding, and ensuring the maintenance of welding tools and equipment.
• The role also requires strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards to support efficient agricultural production processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding techniques
• Experience with Welding and Fabrication processes
• Knowledge of Materials used in metalworking and welding operations
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints
• Experience working with industrial equipment in manufacturing or agro-processing industries is a plus
• Relevant vocational or technical certification in welding and metal fabrication
• Physical fitness and ability to work in an industrial environment.
