Job Summary
- We are a reputable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company operating in the oil & gas, energy, and industrial sectors, seeking an experienced and result-driven Project Engineer to join our Project/Supply Chain Department.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and project coordination expertise, with proven ability to manage engineering deliverables, procurement activities, vendor engagement, project execution, and stakeholder communication across multiple projects.
- The role requires a highly organized professional with strong commercial awareness and engineering expertise, capable of ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and project execution activities across assigned projects.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, milestones, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare and review technical documents, project reports, BOQs, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, technical clarifications, and vendor selection.
- Track material procurement, equipment delivery timelines, and logistics coordination.
- Conduct project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation for ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in site inspections, project meetings, progress reviews, and commissioning activities where required.
- Prepare project progress reports, cost updates, and technical presentations for management and clients.
- Assist in contract administration, project documentation, and change-order management.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes throughout project lifecycle.
- Ensure proper documentation and close-out of completed projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ relevant experience in project engineering within the Oil & Gas, EPC, Energy, or Industrial sector.
- Membership or registration with COREN and NSE is an added advantage.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, procurement coordination, and project execution methodologies.
- Experience in flow station upgrades, pipeline projects, fabrication, construction, or industrial installations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera, or other project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and oil & gas industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
Salary
N500,000 – N700,000 monthly.
