Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services required for Buckler Systems’ operations.
• The role focuses on sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, managing procurement processes, and supporting operational continuity while maintaining quality, efficiency, and ethical procurement standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and vendors
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and project teams to align procurement activities with technical specifications, budgets, and project timelines
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports
• Track procurement KPIs and prepare periodic reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing efficiency for management review
• Support audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
