Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited is a member of Fatgbems Group, incorporated as an independent petroleum marketing company under the late founder, Alhaji Fatai Gbemisola in November 1994. The company started the Retail Station services operation with a fuel service Station in Ejigbo, Lagos in 2006. The multi-million petroleum marketing business expanded rapidly with the establishment of several other service Stations in other parts of South-Western States. We own and operate a very big tank farm that can store millions of refined Petroleum Products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Auditor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization.
• The role involves examining financial records, operational procedures, and compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Review the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report on areas of potential risk, fraud, or operational inefficiency.
• Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and audit objectives.
• Prepare detailed audit findings and present clear, concise reports with actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure they are implemented.
• Collaborate with management to assess new systems, processes, or changes in operations.
• Assist external auditors as needed during their audit processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and objectivity in the audit process.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, is highly desirable.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in auditing, preferably in internal audit.
• Solid understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software tools.
