We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Heavy Earth Moving Machines (HEMM) Engineer
Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta & Rivers
Job Summary
- The HEMM Engineer oversees the performance, maintenance, and repair of heavy earth-moving equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety compliance, and minimum downtime.
- The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults while coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- HND, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- HSE Certification.
- Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy earth-moving equipment.
- Experience in construction, mining, or the oil & gas industry is often preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in field environments.
- Team leadership and supervision abilities.
