Job Title: Loan Underwriter

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Loan Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing SME loan applications to deliver accurate credit decisions in line with established credit policies and underwriting standards.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills and prior experience in loan assessment and risk evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documents
• Assess borrowers’ creditworthiness and repayment capacity
• Make recommendations in line with credit policy and underwriting standards
• Liaise with Field Verification Officers and Risk Team on loan-related issues
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documentation
• Maintain proper records and support process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in loan underwriting, credit analysis, or related role
• Prior experience performing similar functions is required
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an added advantage
• Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work within set timelines.

Salary & Benefits

• N200,000 monthly salary
• N100,000 monthly KPI bonus.
