Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Ideal People (AISVIP) is a Non-Governmental Organization geared toward empowering vulnerable and less privilege people in the society. The organization history dates back to 2016 when group of people conceived an idea of contributing to humanitarian activities in North East Nigeria. The organization was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 17th July 2018, as a non-political, non-profitable, National-based organization. It is committed to improve the quality of life of most vulnerable and less privileged people, particularly people affected by insurgency in North East Nigeria. Also the organization has been accredited by Borno State Committee on Humanitarian Response (BOSCHR), Office of the Secretary to the State Government, and also recommended by Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). The Ultimate goal of AISVIP is to empower and inspire vulnerable and less privilege people, to contribute for peace and nation building. Over the years, AISVIP has grown significantly both in terms of its programs and geographical coverage in Borno and Yobe states in partnership with UN Agencies, National and International Organization.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Officer

Locations: Jere - Borno and Fune - Yobe
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilties
Security Risk Management:

  • Monitor the security situation in Maiduguri, Jere, and Fune LGAs and provide regular security updates and advisories.
  • Conduct security risk assessments for field locations, movements, and project activities.
  • Support development and implementation of security plans, SOPs, and contingency measures.

Staff Safety & Movement Management:

  • Support planning and coordination of staff movements, including field travel, route assessments, and clearance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with AISVIP security protocols and duty of care policies.
  • Provide security briefings and inductions to staff, visitors, and partners.

Incident Management & Reporting:

  • Support incident reporting, analysis, and follow-up in line with organizational procedures.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, security networks, and humanitarian security forums as required.

Capacity Building & Compliance:

  • Train staff on security awareness, personal safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure security considerations are integrated into project planning and implementation.
