Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth daily pharmacy operations.
- The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
- Receive and process prescriptions accurately.
- Label and package medications appropriately.
- Maintain proper records of prescriptions and drug inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the pharmacist of low or expired medications.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Attend to patient inquiries politely and professionally.
- Assist in procurement and storage of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
- Support administrative duties within the pharmacy unit as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician studies from a recognized institution.
- Valid license / certification where applicable.
- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication handling.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under supervision and in a team environment.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
