Ayoola Foods is an FMCG Production Company. We are into production of Poundo Yam, Plantain Flour and some other Flour Products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Location: Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Ayoola Foods Limited is a Food company that specializes in packaged flour products such as Poundo Yam, Plantain flour, Rice flour e.t.c in Ipaja, Lagos, currently in need of an experienced quality control/quality assurance personnel to Head the Quality control department.

The Job Description includes, but is not limited to, the following
 Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Daily that the Processing and Packaging Areas are adequately in Compliance with Good Housekeeping (G.H.K) before and after and Production.
  • Analyze possible reasons for product defects and quality lapses.
  • Analyze possible reasons for process deviations and for product defects and quality lapses.
  • Develop SOPs and infrastructure requirements for laboratories and optimal calibration standards in line with good laboratory practice (GLP) requirements.
  • Develop inspection and testing protocols for materials, products and packaging.
  • Develop methods for testing the quality of materials, products, and packaging.
  • Develop product and process quality metric reports.
  • Develop sampling plans for quality control purposes.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are align with regulatory requirements, industry guidelines and the organization’s policies.
  • Establish SOPs and conditions for handling, storage and preservation of samples.
  • Implement plans and strategies to support the provision of safe food products.
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, products or production lines to ensure production is carried out according to safety regulations and situational health sections.
  • Lead quality and food safety-related audits.
  • Lead traceability investigations on the source of quality lapses and other product issues.
  • Oversee corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) implementation and documentations with other departments.
  • Participate in quality management system reviews and promote quality and food safety policies to all personnel.
  • Review reports and develop guidelines and standard practices for data documentation and analysis.
  • Specify the protocols and laboratory infrastructure and equipment to be inspected and tested.
  • Verify alignment of sampling documentation, testing activities, and procedures with established protocols to identify issues.
  • Verify quality control (QC) records, test results, and reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in inspection exercises from regulatory authorities and ensure that production and quality meet expected standards.
  • Any other function that may be assigned by the company is necessary to the achievement of the company's goals.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.SC / M.Sc. Degree in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Not more than 45 years old,
  • With previous experience in a similar position in the FMCG industry as a Quality control Manager.
  • The preferred candidates can be Male / Female  Our preference is in a Food company that specializes in working with flour products similar to what we do.
