Job Summary 

  • As an ICT Teacher, you instruct students in digital literacy, computer applications, and programming while designing curricula that meet educational standards.
  • Key duties include delivering engaging lessons on subjects like Microsoft Office, Python, and internet safety, assessing student progress, maintaining hardware, and promoting responsible, safe technology use.

Core Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Designing and implementing comprehensive ICT curricula.
  • Instruction: Teaching digital literacy, programming (e.g., Scratch, Python), and computer applications.
  • Assessment: Grading projects, quizzes, and exams, and providing diagnostic feedback to students.
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a disciplined and safe learning environment in the computer lab.
  • Resource Management: Ensuring computer equipment and software are functional and updated.
  • Student Support: Providing differentiated instruction to support students of varying abilities and interests.

Common Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in software packages (e.g., MS Office) and coding languages.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching computer science or IT.
