Job Summary
- As a physics teacher you will instructstudents on matter, energy, and motion by creating lesson plans, conducting laboratory experiments, and grading assessments to help students understand complex scientific concepts.
- Key responsibilities include planning curriculum, maintaining safe lab environments, and fostering critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Instruction & Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, and electricity.
- Laboratory Management:S et up, supervise, and maintain safety standards for, physics lab experiments.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Grade assignments, evaluate student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Classroom Management: Build a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
- Collaboration: Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Support & Mentorship: Provide extra help to students and advise on academic matters.
Common Responsibilities:
- Teach across different grade levels (e.g., A-level, GCSE).
- Contribute to extracurricular activities or science clubs.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in physics or education is typically required, often with a master's degree preferred.
- Certification: Valid state or regional teaching certification/license.
- Expertise: Strong subject matter knowledge and proficiency in using educational technology.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
