Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• As a Mathematics Teacher you will plan, prepare, and deliverengaging lessons to develop students' theoretical and applied mathematical skills.
• Key responsibilities include grading assessments, tracking progress, and creating a safe, encouraging learning environment for students to master concepts like algebra and geometry.

Core Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and implement lesson plans covering curriculum requirements, utilizing varied teaching methods to engage pupils.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Grade assignments, tests, and quizzes in a timely manner to monitor progress.
• Individual Support: Identify student learning gaps and provide extra, personalized support or remedial programs.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly environment conducive to learning.
• Communication: Meet with parents, staff, and administration to report on student progress and behavioral issues.

Common Duties

• Assigning and reviewing homework.
• Preparing students for standardized tests.
• Participating in faculty meetings and professional development.
• Utilizing instructional software and smartboards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, or a Bachelor's in Mathematics with a teaching credential.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and proficiency in using technology for instruction.

• Deep understanding of mathematics (e.g., algebra, geometry, statistics, trigonometry).
• Ability to relate mathematical concepts to real-world examples.
• Effective classroom management and conflict resolution skills.
