Job Summary

• As a Geography Teacher you will educatestudents on physical environments, human cultures, and earth sciences, fostering global awareness through curriculum planning, classroom instruction, and field studies.
• They prepare lessons on topics like climate, population, and urbanization, utilizing maps, GIS technology, and field trips to engage students in both human and physical geography.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Curriculum:Delivering lessons on physical, human, and environmental geography, often aligning with national or international curricula (e.g., IGCSE,Planit Plus).
• Assessment & Evaluation:Creating, administering, and grading assessments, assignments, and exams to monitor student progress.
• Fieldwork & Practical Learning:Designing and leading field trips to provide hands-on experience and practical applications of geographical concepts.
• Classroom Management:Maintaining an organized, safe, and engaging environment conducive to learning.
• Support & Engagement:Offering additional support outside school hours, including extracurricular activities like eco-clubs or academic support.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education:A bachelor’s degree in geography, education, or a related field, along with a teaching license.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency with mapping software, GIS (Geospatial Technology), and interactive whiteboards.
• Core Competencies:Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to foster critical thinking about current world events.

Key Areas of Focus

• Human Geography:Urbanization, population, cultural studies.
• Physical Geography:Climate change, ecosystems, landscapes.
• Global Citizenship:Educating on sustainability, geopolitics, and international relations.
