Job Summary
- The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and market expansion for Paytro.
- The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and managing client relationships, increasing brand visibility, and supporting the company’s overall commercial objectives within the e-commerce and asset financing space.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s customer base by promoting products and services, generating leads, managing sales pipelines, and maintaining strong relationships with merchants, vendors, corporate clients, and strategic partners.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Generate and convert leads into active customers and business partnerships
- Promote the company’s products and services to prospective clients and partners
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market penetration and customer acquisition
- Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, merchants, vendors, and corporate clients
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide product/service information
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Manage customer inquiries and ensure excellent client experience throughout the sales cycle
- Maintain regular follow-up with leads and existing customers to drive retention and repeat business
Partnership & Market Expansion:
- Identify strategic partnership opportunities that support business growth
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to expand business reach
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Provide insights and recommendations to support product positioning and business strategy
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, and business engagements
- Prepare periodic sales and performance reports
- Track business development KPIs and pipeline performance
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal processes
Brand Representation:
- Represent the company professionally at meetings, networking events, and business engagements
- Contribute to initiatives that improve brand awareness and market visibility
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Mass Communication, or any related field
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or client acquisition, preferably within e-commerce, fintech, lending, or technology-driven businesses
- Strong understanding of sales processes, lead generation, and relationship management
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong networking and stakeholder management ability
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert prospects into business relationships
- Strong presentation and business writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM/sales tracking systems
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced environment.
Salary
N350,000 - N400,000 / Month.
