We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Igando, Lagos
Job Description
- The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading regional demand generation strategies, driving sales growth, and ensuring effective execution of field operations in alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Target Delivery: Develop, implement, and monitor regional sales budgets and KPIs, ensuring achievement of both value and volume targets through effective team leadership and distributor engagement.
- Demand Generation & HCP Engagement: Plan and execute scientific and promotional activities including CMEs, FGMs, and other stakeholder engagements to drive product awareness, prescription generation, and market penetration.
- People Development & Training: Identify training needs and implement continuous capacity-building programs for Medical Representatives to enhance productivity and performance.
- Field Force Effectiveness & Compliance: Oversee the use of sales operation systems to ensure 100% compliance with planned hospital, pharmacy, laboratory, and PHC coverage.
- Distributor & Channel Management: Strengthen partnerships with distributors to ensure optimal stock availability, efficient distribution, and elimination of expiry-related losses.
- Operational Excellence & Asset Management
Ensure all company assets deployed within the region are properly utilized, maintained, and accounted for.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare and present monthly performance reports, highlighting achievements, gaps, market insights, and actionable recommendations.
- Execution Oversight: Review and approve weekly field itineraries and reports, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and optimal territory coverage.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
- 5–8 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record in demand generation and sales target achievement
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in sales analytics tools and CRM systems.
