Amecron Nigeria Limited is an indigenous firm established and incorporated on the 26th of June, 1980, under the companies and allied matters decree of Nigeria, 1968. Primarily set up, as a consulting Civil Engineering firm, the company served both the private and public sectors for a decade, before entering into the Oil and Gas industry in the turn of the decade (1990).

Amercron's services encompass consultancy - various Engineering and project design services through to supply and Installation with ongoing technical support, manpower supply, construction/Project Management and multidisplinary design, and procurement services. these are catergorized into four groups: Engineering and Construction/Fabrication, Project Management, Procurement Services and Human Resource Management.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities
Project Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines. milestones, and deliverables.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, donors, and community leaders.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage project team members, including volunteers and staff.
  • Provide ongoing support and motivation to team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Community Engagement:

  • Conduct needs assessments to understand community needs and priorities.
  • Involve community members in project planning and implementation to ensure relevance and impact.

Project Implementation:

  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess project performance and impact.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and NGO policies.
  • Prepare and submit donor reports, detailing project progress and financial expenditure.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and other compliance checks.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate human, financial, and material resources efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize potential impacts.
  • Plan for the sustainability of project outcomes.

Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building:

  • Document project processes, outcomes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and capacity-building opportunities for local staff and community members.
  • Collaborate with other NGOs to share knowledge and resources.

Advocacy and Awareness:

  • Conduct awareness campaigns to educate the public about the NGO's mission and initiatives.
  • Advocate for policy changes and actions that support the NGO's goals and objectives.
