We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Coordinator

Location: Idi-Oro, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient operations of workshops, fabrication yards, and galvanizing plants to achieve productivity and uptime targets.
  • Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Optimize facility layouts, workflows, and resource utilization to improve productivity and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Manage facility utilities, including power, water, and waste systems, to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability compliance.
  • Enforce HSE policies, conduct periodic audits, drills, and risk assessments, and maintain a zero-incident work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and international engineering, safety, and operational standards.
  • Oversee welding, fabrication, galvanizing, and other EPC-related activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Develop project schedules, work plans, and manpower allocation strategies to achieve project timelines and performance targets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, and production teams to align project execution with organizational objectives.
  • Manage third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, safety standards, and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor and contractor agreements to achieve cost-effective service delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Oversee workspace allocation, office renovations, and facility asset management to support operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for furniture, equipment, tools, and facility assets to ensure accountability and availability.
  • Manage procurement and allocation of office supplies, project materials, tools, and workforce resources efficiently.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and EPC projects to achieve cost-efficiency targets.
  • Provide periodic reports on project performance, resource utilization, compliance status, and operational improvements.
  • Serve as the central coordination point for facility-based EPC activities and resolve operational issues impacting execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP, COREN, NSE, or any other relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ relevant industry experience, including at least 4 years in a senior management role within industrial sectors, particularly mechanical and fabrication projects.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, business analysis, and risk management.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, resource management, and operational coordination.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in computation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership capability with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Possess sound judgment, professional maturity, and excellent personal conduct.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative and drive to identify and develop new business opportunities.
