Job Title: Laundry Attendent
Location: Anthony, Lagos
Summary
- A laundry worker’s role is to clean, dry, press, and organize clothes, linens, and fabrics for customers or organizations such as hotels, hospitals, laundromats, or dry-cleaning businesses.
Main Duties
Sorting Laundry:
- Separate clothes by color, fabric type, or washing method
- Check items for stains or damage.
Washing and Drying:
- Operate washing and drying machines
- Use correct detergents and cleaning chemicals
- Follow washing instructions carefully.
Ironing and Folding:
- Iron or press garments and linens
- Fold, package, or hang cleaned items properly.
Stain Removal:
- Treat stains before washing
- Use special cleaning techniques when needed.
Customer Service:
- Receive and return customers’ clothes
- Handle customer questions or complaints
- Record orders and payments.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Keep laundry machines clean and functional
- Report machine faults or maintenance needs.
Workplace Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures.
Skills Needed:
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Physical stamina
- Ability to operate laundry equipment
- Customer service skills.
