Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations for the Cream category within the assigned territory.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing distributor relationships, expanding market coverage, and ensuring strong product visibility across retail and wholesale channels.
- The individual must possess strong FMCG sales experience, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record in territory management and sales target achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and market penetration for the Cream product category within the assigned region.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and distribution targets.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts.
- Monitor stock levels, product availability, and market performance across outlets.
- Ensure effective product merchandising, visibility, and brand presence in the market.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate sales representatives and field teams to achieve performance objectives.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify business opportunities and monitor competitor activities.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence for management review.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and proper account reconciliation from distributors/customers.
- Organize promotional activities and trade activations to increase brand awareness and sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ FMCG sales experience, preferably in personal care or cream products.
- Proven experience managing distributors and sales territories.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to lead and manage field sales teams effectively.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Must be willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
