Job Title: Music Teacher – Pianist & Accompanist Instructor

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging piano lessons tailored to beginners through advanced students.
  • Teach piano techniques, music theory, sight-reading, improvisation, and memorization.
  • Prepare students for performances, concerts, recitals, and competitions.
  • Accompany students during rehearsals, auditions, recordings, and live performances.
  • Collaborate with other music department staff on performances and school events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and progress.
  • Utilize modern teaching methods and digital piano technology where necessary.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a pianist and accompanist.
  • High proficiency in piano performance across multiple genres.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related specialized training.
  • Strong understanding of music theory and music history.
  • Experience teaching the British Curriculum from KS1–KS4.
  • Certified Cambridge teaching qualification is required.
  • Previous teaching experience in an AISEN school is required.
  • TRCN/TRN certificate required or must be submitted within 12 months of employment.
