Job Title: Clinical Director

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilties

  • Supervising physicians, nurses, laboratory scientists and pharmacists. participates in quality improvement initiatives and programs: identifiés opportunities, for quality improvement in patient care and safety, Participating and directing provider and medical care team meetings.
  • Working with pharmacy and lab managers to address mutual concerns.
  • Support the Medical Director in the day-to- day management of the hospital
  • Desigh and implement strategies to assist the clinic to realize business goals
  • Provides, oversight and review of the physician visits to ensure accurate billing.
  • Oversee the hospital's compliance, with legal policies,, guidelines and standards as regards clinical compliance
  • Ensure departments have sufficient and qualified personnel
  • Assists with recruiting mentoring and orientation of new clinical staff as assigned.
  • Organize and run all patient care or administrative operations and programs
  • Oversee Clinical Governance of the hospital
  • Ensure all medical records and other hospital documentation are current and within statutory regulations
  • Perform quarterly, and annual employee reviews and provide feedback on their performance to help motivate their dedication to professional goals
  • Plan and manage the clinic's budget Act as a connection between patients, their families and additional care staff
  • Balancing the duties of physician with that of an administrator while perform Clinical Consultant role in area of specialisation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.

Requirements

  • MBBS / MBCH EWACS; WACP or equivalent required.
  • Annual Practising license
  • Minimum of 7 years of post-fellowship clinical experience
  • At least 3 years in a senior medical leadership or administrative role.
  • Experience in clinical governance and qually improvement
  • Experience in budget planning and resource management
  • Familiarity with private healthcare sector operations
  • Strong clinical expertise and decision- making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design and implement hospital policies and strategies
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital information systems.
  • Project and change management experience
  • Understanding of NHIS and regulatory compliance requirements.

Other Requirements:

  • All candidates must be highly motivated team players who are willing to go the extra mile.
  • They should possess excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills are essential.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in the medical field would be an advantage.
