Job Title: Risk and Audit Officer (Accountant)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Accountant (Risk & Audit) manages financial records while integrating risk assessment and internal control functions into daily accounting operations.
• The role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and proactive identification and mitigation of financial and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.

Risk Management & Compliance:

• Identify, assess, and monitor financial and operational risks.
• Develop and implement internal control procedures to mitigate risk exposure.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and control reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Monitor fraud risks, financial irregularities, and internal control weaknesses.
• Prepare risk reports and present findings to management.
• Support the implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
