Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

• We are looking for a proactive Accountant to support the organization’s financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage financial processes to support business objectives.

Key Responsiblities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Manage financial accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements, including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
• Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
• Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
• Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles
• Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage

Certifications & Technical Skills:

• ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is an added advantage
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
• Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks
