Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Ojodu, Lagos

Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure the organization’s IT infrastructure and network environment.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of network systems, servers, and related technologies, while providing technical support, system administration, software support, and IT training to internal and external users.
Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Administration:
- Install, configure, manage, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network security systems
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Manage LAN/WAN environments, VPN connections, internet services, and wireless network infrastructure
- Configure and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls, and network monitoring tools
- Perform regular network assessments, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Monitor server performance and support server administration tasks, including updates, patch management, and routine maintenance
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures
- Ensure data security, system integrity, and compliance with organizational IT policies and standards
- Maintain and update network diagrams, configurations, inventories, and technical documentation
- Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and access rights across systems and applications
- Support cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure environments where applicable
- Coordinate with vendors, internet service providers, and third-party support teams when necessary
Technical Support & Systems Administration:
- Provide 1st-level technical support for hardware, software, systems, and network-related issues
- Diagnose and resolve network outages, system failures, and user connectivity problems in a timely manner
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
- Support system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Monitor IT assets, licensing, and system utilization to ensure operational efficiency
- Support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of business applications and enterprise systems
Software Application Testing and Training:
- Assist in testing software applications and updates before deployment to ensure functionality and compatibility
- Document test results, system issues, and resolutions for future reference
- Support users during application rollouts and system upgrades
- Conduct IT orientation and training sessions for staff on cybersecurity awareness, IT best practices, etc.
- Conduct Training on assigned Tech courses during coding bootcamps
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in network administration, systems administration, or IT infrastructure support
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching
- Experience with network devices such as Cisco, MikroTik, or similar technologies is an advantage
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and backup solutions
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, firewall management, and endpoint security tools
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and user support abilities
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, MCSA, or equivalent are an added advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Candidate must reside in Lagos; proximity to the island is a plus.
Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 / month.
