They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records (general ledger, journals, and subsidiary ledgers)
  • Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statement
  • Prepare trial balances and assist in month-end and year-end procedures
  • Generate financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Operate and manage accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP.
  • Configure chart of accounts and accounting workflows within the software
  • Ensure accurate data entry and system integrity
  • Perform software updates, backups, and basic troubleshooting
  • Use spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) for financial analysis, forecasting, and reconciliations
  • Maintain digital filing systems and ensure secure data storage
  • Implement and monitor internal controls within IT systems.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related courses from a reputable educational institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Book Keeper or in similar role.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of ERP like QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, SAP etc.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with office gadgets and IT applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Membership of AAT will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants residing on the mainland are preferred.
