Job Title: Head of Finance
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reports to: General Manager / Executive Management
Direct Reports: Accountant, Account/Cost Officer, Cashiers, Finance Support Staff
Main Function
- The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization, ensuring proper financial planning, reporting, compliance, and cost control.
- The role supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial operations of the organization.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue to ensure financial stability.
- Implement cost control strategies to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Supervise finance team members and ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage payroll processes and financial reconciliations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive management.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or other relevant professional certification is highly preferred.
Experience:
- 4–5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
- Must have prior experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or related service industries.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required.
