About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our executive team as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
• The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight for the company’s investment management activities across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, money market instruments, and alternative investments.
• The role requires strong expertise in portfolio management, investment strategy, capital markets, risk management, and macroeconomic analysis.
• The ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of delivering strong risk-adjusted investment performance, leading high-performing investment teams, and driving growth in Assets Under Management (AUM).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s overall investment strategy and asset allocation framework.
• Oversee portfolio management activities across all investment mandates and asset classes.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure alignment with investment objectives and benchmarks.
• Lead market research, economic analysis, and investment outlook initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with investment policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
• Drive portfolio optimization and alpha generation strategies.
• Support funds mobilization and client retention initiatives alongside the Business Development team.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, counterparties, regulators, and market operators.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the investment team to achieve strategic business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• Professional certifications are required.
• Minimum of 12–15 years relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, portfolio management, or capital markets.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior investment leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio management, and investment analysis.
• Proven ability to manage institutional portfolios and deliver strong investment performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
