We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Locations:  Lagos, and Oyo

About the role

  • We're looking for a driven business development executive who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and turn prospects into long-term partners.
  • You'll own the full sales cycle—from initial research and outreach through negotiation and close—while building a pipeline that fuels our growth.
  • This role is perfect for someone who loves the hunt, thrives on building connections, and gets satisfaction from both landing new deals and nurturing relationships that grow over time.

What you'll do
Pipeline development:

  • Research and identify target companies and decision-makers in our key markets
  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies (cold email, LinkedIn, phone, events)
  • Qualify leads and move them through the sales funnel
  • Maintain a robust pipeline with consistent activity and follow-up
  • Track all prospect interactions and opportunities in our CRM.

Relationship building:

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs and pain points
  • Build rapport with stakeholders at multiple levels within target organizations
  • Position our solutions in the context of their business challenges
  • Navigate complex organizational structures to reach decision-makers
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to identify expansion opportunities.

Deal execution:

  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations
  • Lead contract negotiations and navigate procurement processes
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, legal, finance) to structure deals
  • Close deals and achieve quarterly revenue targets
  • Ensure smooth handoffs to account management or delivery teams.

Market intelligence:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics
  • Gather feedback from prospects to inform product and marketing strategy
  • Identify patterns in objections and wins to refine our approach
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Success metrics
In your first 30 days:

  • Build a pipeline of at least 30 qualified opportunities
  • Close your first [1-2] deals
  • Develop deep product knowledge and competitive positioning.

Compensation structure

  • Base salary (depending on experience)
  • Commission on targets.
  • Accelerators for exceeding quota.

Our ideal timeline:

  • Week 1-2: Onboarding and product training
  • Week 3-4: Shadow existing BDs, begin prospect research
  • Month 2: Start managing your own opportunities
  • Month 3: Close your first deals
  • Month 4+: Full quota responsibility.

What we're looking for
Required:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort with outbound prospecting and handling rejection
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SAAS and tech consulting
  • Familiarity with SaaS, professional services and databases
  • Background in consultative or solution selling
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain complex products.
