- Brands covered: KloutBox (kloutbox.com), Communicado PR (communicadopr.com), WriteHelp NG (writehelpng.com), and any additional products or sub-brands launched by the Company (e.g. AthenaFellowship).
Role Summary
- As Client Acquisition, Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you will drive revenue growth and strategic relationships across all Communicado Consulting brands by identifying, pursuing and converting corporate and individual clients, building partnerships that extend the Company’s reach and revenue, and supporting product sales and marketing initiatives.
- You will report directly to the Lead, People, Culture, Operations & Strategy, and work in close collaboration with the Publisher, Product Manager, Content Lead, Social Media Manager and Graphics Designer.
Key Responsibilities
WriteHelp NG (writehelpng.com):
- Identify and pursue prospective clients across the service range published on writehelpng.com (academic editing, training, talent management, ghost-writing, content writing, book editing and publishing, CV/resume services, etc.).
- Build a qualified pipeline of individual and corporate clients (universities, professional associations, clergy, NGOs, publishers, recruitment firms).
- Drive sales of AthenaFellowship (athenafellowship.writehelpng.com) and other WriteHelp NG paid programmes/products.
- Identify partnership opportunities: academic institutions, professional bodies, career platforms, fellowship aggregators, and organisations whose audiences overlap with WriteHelp NG’s services (e.g. co-marketed editing packages with university writing centres, referral partnerships with career coaches, affiliate arrangements with scholarship platforms).
- Respond to enquiries from the WriteHelp NG inboxes within 24 hours on working days.
Communicado PR (communicadopr.com):
- Identify and pursue corporate clients requiring PR, media relations, crisis communications, reputation management and strategic communications.
- Target SMEs, startups, public-sector bodies, NGOs, and personal-brand clients (executives, public figures).
- Identify strategic partnerships: complementary agencies (digital marketing, event management, design studios), industry bodies, trade associations and media houses for cross-referral, co-pitching or subcontracting arrangements.
- Respond to RFPs and prepare tailored proposals, capability statements and pitch decks in collaboration with the Publisher and Content Lead.
- Maintain an updated pipeline of active opportunities and report status weekly.
KloutBox (kloutbox.com):
- Sell ad spaces (banner, sponsored posts, newsletter inclusions, branded content) to SMEs, agencies and corporate advertisers.
- Develop and maintain a rate card in collaboration with the Publisher and Product Manager.
- Build relationships with media buyers, agencies and direct advertisers in Nigeria and across Africa.
- Identify and pursue content partnerships: co-branded editorial series, sponsored storytelling projects, syndication agreements, cross-promotion deals with complementary media platforms, and guest contributor partnerships that bring audience and credibility.
- Identify sponsorship opportunities for KloutBox newsletter, channels and special editorial projects.
Partnerships (Cross-Brand):
- In addition to the brand-specific partnership responsibilities above, you will lead a structured, cross-brand partnerships function:
- Identify, approach and formalise strategic partnerships that generate revenue, expand audience reach, or open new distribution channels for any of the Company’s brands.
- Develop a partnerships pipeline alongside the client pipeline — tracked separately in the CRM with its own stages (Identified → Approached → In Discussion → Terms Agreed → Formalised → Active → Dormant/Ended).
- Draft and negotiate partnership proposals, MOUs and collaboration agreements in coordination with the Lead, People, Culture, Operations & Strategy.
- Manage ongoing partner relationships: ensure deliverables are met on both sides, flag issues early, and identify upsell or expansion opportunities within existing partnerships.
- Maintain a partnership tracker/register with key terms, renewal dates, revenue attribution and performance against agreed metrics.
- Report on partnership activity and revenue contribution in weekly and monthly reports.
Cross-Brand Business Development:
- Send daily cold emails and LinkedIn outreach to qualified prospects and potential partners across all three brands.
- Check all enquiries inboxes (info@, sales@, partnerships@) at least twice daily and ensure no enquiry waits more than 24 hours for an initial response.
- Draft, customise and send proposals, quotes and contracts to prospects.
- Respond to all RFPs received by the Company, coordinating internally to assemble compliant submissions before deadlines.
- Schedule and lead discovery calls, demos and pitch meetings.
- Negotiate terms and close deals within approved pricing parameters.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM with every prospect, partner, conversation, proposal and deal stage.
Marketing & Cross-Functional Support:
- Support the Product Department by feeding back market intelligence, client objections, partner feedback, pricing pressure, and feature/service requests.
- Support the Social Media Department with input on positioning, lead-generation campaigns, partnership announcements, case studies and testimonials worth amplifying.
- Suggest content ideas (case studies, client wins, partnership stories, industry insights) that the Content and Social teams can convert into marketing assets.
- Contribute to quarterly go-to-market planning sessions for new products, service lines and partnership-driven initiatives.
Reporting & Workflow
- Submit weekly pipeline reports (clients and partnerships) every Friday by 5 PM.
- Submit monthly performance reports no later than two days after month-end.
- Attend knowledge-sharing sessions regularly.
- Conduct a baseline assessment of all current sales channels, partnership landscape, enquiry volumes and conversion rates within the first 5 working days of resumption.
- All proposals and partnership agreements above an agreed value threshold must be reviewed by the Lead, People, Culture, Operations & Strategy before being sent or signed.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience.
