We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure raw materials, production consumables, machinery parts, and other operational supplies.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store and production departments to prevent stock shortages.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery efficiency, and pricing.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet company quality specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department regarding invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliation.
  • Conduct market surveys to identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Resolve issues relating to defective materials, delayed deliveries, or supplier disputes.
