Job Title: Nursery 2 (Early Year) Teacher

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

 Responsibilities 

• A Nursery 2 Early Years Teacher is responsible for providing a stimulating, caring, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports young children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical growth through structured play and guided learning experiences.
• Creating a safe, warm, and nurturing classroom environment for children.
• Planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Teaching early literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Encouraging creativity through play, music, storytelling, art, and hands-on learning.
• Observing, assessing, and documenting children’s progress and development.
• Helping children build independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Maintaining classroom organisation, cleanliness, and learning materials.
• Supervising children during classwork, playtime, meals, and outdoor activities.
• Communicating regularly with parents about their child’s progress and wellbeing.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
• Identifying children who may need additional learning or emotional support.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health, and safety policies are always followed.
• Preparing learning resources, displays, and classroom activities.
• Supporting school events, celebrations, and extracurricular activities.

Salary
N120,000 per month.
