Job Title: Assistant Training Manager
Location: Gujeni, Kaduna

Job Summary
- The Assistant Training Manager supports the implementation and coordination of training and workforce development programs.
- The role ensures employees receive required technical, operational, safety, compliance, and leadership training to maintain operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workforce competency across mining and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing annual training plans for plant operations and support departments.
- Coordinate technical, safety, equipment, environmental, and compliance training programs.
- Support training needs analysis for mining, processing plant, maintenance, HSE, and administrative teams.
- Organize induction and onboarding training for new employees and contractors.
- Maintain training records, competency matrices, certifications, and license tracking systems.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance for mining regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate internal trainers and external training providers for specialized mining programs.
- Assist in conducting competency assessments and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Prepare training schedules, reports, statistics, and monthly KPI updates.
- Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous learning environment across operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, Industrial Relations, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in training coordination or learning & development, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of mining operations, HSE standards, and workforce competency systems.
- Familiarity with statutory and safety training requirements in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a remote or site-based mining environment.
