African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Training Manager

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Assistant Training Manager supports the implementation and coordination of training and workforce development programs.
  • The role ensures employees receive required technical, operational, safety, compliance, and leadership training to maintain operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workforce competency across mining and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing annual training plans for plant operations and support departments.
  • Coordinate technical, safety, equipment, environmental, and compliance training programs.
  • Support training needs analysis for mining, processing plant, maintenance, HSE, and administrative teams.
  • Organize induction and onboarding training for new employees and contractors.
  • Maintain training records, competency matrices, certifications, and license tracking systems.
  • Monitor mandatory training compliance for mining regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate internal trainers and external training providers for specialized mining programs.
  • Assist in conducting competency assessments and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Prepare training schedules, reports, statistics, and monthly KPI updates.
  • Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure proper documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous learning environment across operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in training coordination or learning & development, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
  • Knowledge of mining operations, HSE standards, and workforce competency systems.
  • Familiarity with statutory and safety training requirements in industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote or site-based mining environment.
