Emigrate is Vapp Consulting's relocation division built exclusively for African passport holders — helping thousands move abroad legally, safely, and without being scammed. Since 2022, we have guided 5,000+ Africans through visas, work permits, study routes, and family reunification across 10 countries. We operate a transparent, flat-fee model with local payment rails (NGN, GHS, KES) and a fully anonymous application wizard. We are growing fast and need a sharp business development professional to fuel our next stage.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Role Summary

  • We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to grow Emigrate's revenue through strategic partnerships, affiliate acquisition, and channel development.
  • You will identify and close deals with diaspora communities, travel agents, financial institutions, student groups, employer networks, and content creators who serve African audiences.
  • This role has a direct line to the bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnerships — Identify, pitch, and onboard institutional and commercial partners (universities, recruitment agencies, employers, banks, diaspora associations) aligned with Emigrate's five visa pathways.
  • Affiliate Program — Build, manage, and convert an affiliate network of bloggers, influencers, relocation advisors, and community leaders targeting Nigerian, Ghanaian, and Kenyan audiences.
  • Revenue Growth — Own a pipeline of leads and deals; track conversion from partner referrals through to paid applications on the Emigrate platform.
  • Relationship Management — Maintain and deepen long-term relationships with active partners; provide them with materials, tracking links, and performance reports.
  • Market Development — Identify untapped communities, platforms, and geographies where Emigrate's services are in demand but underrepresented.
  • Collaboration — Work closely with marketing on co-branded campaigns and with the operations team to ensure referred clients receive seamless service.
  • Reporting — Deliver regular reports on pipeline activity, partner performance, affiliate conversions, and revenue attribution.

Who You Are

  • 3–6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or affiliate marketing — ideally in fintech, edtech, migration services, travel, or a related sector serving African markets
  • A strong network within Nigerian, Ghanaian, or Kenyan communities (online or offline)
  • Commercially minded — you understand margins, conversion funnels, and what moves the bottom line
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to pitch both to grassroots creators and institutional decision-makers
  • Self-starter who can build from scratch, not just manage an existing portfolio
  • Comfortable working remotely with async tools and cross-border teams.
