Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing insurance risks, reviewing applications, preparing quotations, and supporting the placement of suitable insurance coverage for clients.
• The candidate must possess strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance products.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications and risk profiles
• Assess risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage terms
• Prepare quotations, policy documentation, and underwriting reports
• Liaise with insurers and clients regarding policy terms and requirements
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards
• Analyze claims history, financial records, and other relevant data
• Support policy renewals and endorsements
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years’ experience in underwriting within the insurance industry
• Strong understanding of insurance products and risk assessment
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Professional certification is an added advantage.

Salary
N250,000 - N400,000 per month.
