We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

  • You will provide remote consultations for patients who enter the Metaclinic platform through USSD and digital channels.

Responsibilities
You will:

  • Assess patients remotely.
  • Provide treatment plans.
  • Prescribe where appropriate.
  • Refer urgent cases.
  • Support safe, high-quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone / video consultations.
  • Review triage summaries before patient interactions.
  • Diagnose and manage low to moderate acuity presentations.
  • Escalate emergency cases appropriately.
  • Issue prescriptions through platform systems.
  • Provide referral recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews.
  • Adhere to telemedicine protocols.
  • Deliver an excellentpatient experience.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS / MBChB or equivalent.
  • Fully licensed with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
  • Current practicing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification clinical experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • General practice.
  • Urgent care.
  • Mental health.
  • Telemedicine experience (preferred but not required).

Required Skills:

  • Strong clinical judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Digital literacy.
  • Documentation skills.
  • Risk identification.
  • Remote consultation confidence.
