Job Title: Legal Associate (Compliance-Focused)

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a smart, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Legal Associate with strong compliance experience to join its growing team.
• The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of corporate and regulatory compliance advisory, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory compliance advisory services to clients
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions
• Advise clients on corporate governance and regulatory obligations
• Support company secretarial and compliance functions
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure client compliance
• Liaise with regulatory agencies where required
• Assist with corporate transactions and due diligence exercises

Requirements

• LL.B and BL qualifications with a minimum of 5 years post-call experience
• Strong experience in compliance and corporate advisory work
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Prior experience in a law firm or corporate advisory environment is highly preferred

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Strong compliance and regulatory advisory background
• Experience advising businesses across multiple industries
• Proactive, professional, and solution-oriented
• Litigation experience is not required

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 monthly (depending on experience)
