We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responbilities

  • Oversees the daily cleaning schedule for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Conducts regular inspections to ensure rooms and facilities meet quality and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinates with the Front Office to manage room availability and special cleaning requests.
  • Recruits, trains, and mentors housekeeping staff to uphold hotel cleanliness standards.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provides constructive feedback to enhance skills.
  • Assigns tasks and schedules staff to ensure efficient use of resources during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Monitors and controls inventory levels for cleaning products, linens, and toiletries.
  • Places orders with suppliers to replenish stock while staying within budget constraints.
  • Ensures all housekeeping equipment is well-maintained and promptly serviced when needed.
  • Implements and monitors adherence to hotel hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conducts safety training for staff on handling chemicals and operating cleaning equipment.
  • Reports and addresses any maintenance or safety hazards in guest rooms and common areas.
  • Responds to guest requests for extra linens, pillows, or room cleaning services.
  • Oversees the management of lost and found items to ensure proper documentation and guest retrieval.
  • Works with VIP services to ensure that special guests receive personalized housekeeping arrangements
  • Communicates with the Front Office to manage room readiness and special guest requests.
  • Works with the Maintenance team to address repairs and resolve maintenance issues in guest rooms.
  • Supports the Food & Beverage team by ensuring cleanliness in dining areas and banquet spaces.
  • Tracks expenses and ensures adherence to the housekeeping department’s budget.
  • Implements cost-saving measures by optimizing labor schedules and supply usage.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Degree with 3-7 years experience.
