We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
Baseline Study & Data Analysis:

  • Gather, validate, and analyze production and process data across facilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive baseline studies to identify production losses and constraints.
  • Evaluate facility performance including separation, treating, compression, and utilities systems.

Process Simulation & Modelling:

  • Develop, review, and update process simulation models.
  • Perform hydraulic analysis and flow assurance studies for pipelines and flowlines.
  • Validate system capacities and identify bottlenecks.

Production Optimization & Debottlenecking:

  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput and production efficiency.
  • Perform debottlenecking studies on separators, compressors, heaters, and treating systems.
  • Optimize process systems including crude treatment, gas handling, and produced water management.

Field Support & Site Activities:

  • Participate in site visits to validate field data and assess operational constraints.
  • Provide technical input for feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Prepare site visit reports with findings and recommendations.

Engineering Design & Deliverables:

  • Develop key engineering deliverables including:
  • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs)
  • Process simulations and hydraulic studies
  • Prepare line sizing calculations, equipment lists, and tie-in schedules.
  • Support development of complete engineering packages for selected opportunities.

Multi-Disciplinary Coordination:

  • Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, piping, and electrical teams.
  • Contribute to Basis of Design, HAZOP, and other engineering reviews.
  • Support integrated engineering deliverables and project execution plans.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Support development of production performance tracking frameworks.
  • Maintain updated facility capacity models and constraint maps.
  • Provide regular progress and technical reports.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–10 years in oil & gas process engineering
  • Strong experience in production optimization and process simulation

Certifications:

  • COREN registration or relevant process engineering certification

Technical Competencies:

  • Process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pipe Phase)
  • Hydraulic and flow assurance analysis
  • Process design and debottlenecking
  • Knowledge of oil & gas production systems
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, and industry standards
