Job Summary
- We are seeking an exceptional Sales and Marketing Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and shape the next phase of commercial growth across its agro value chain operations.
- As Sales and Marketing Manager, you will lead market expansion and commercial strategy execution. Success in this role means growing distribution networks, strengthening customer relationships, increasing market penetration, and positioning the business for sustainable growth within Nigeria’s competitive agro-industrial market.
Position Overview
- The Sales and Marketing Manager will drive revenue growth by developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for our agro-manufactured products.
- This role requires a dynamic professional who understands the Nigerian agricultural market and can build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and end customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals
- Build and manage relationships with key customers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners across Nigeria
- Lead market research initiatives to identify new opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape analysis
- Manage sales team performance, set targets, and provide coaching to achieve individual and team objectives
- Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and product positioning to maximize market penetration
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure product availability and delivery schedules meet customer demands
- Manage digital marketing initiatives including social media, e-commerce platforms, and online advertising
- Represent the company at trade shows, agricultural exhibitions, and industry conferences
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, or related field
- Must have 6-8 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in FMCG, agricultural products, or food processing industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of Nigerian agricultural value chains, distribution networks, and consumer behaviour
- Excellent relationship-building skills with ability to manage key accounts and strategic partnerships
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and sales analytics platforms
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills in English and local languages
- Willingness to travel extensively across Nigeria and ability to work in diverse cultural environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Business Administration
- Professional certifications in sales management or digital marketing
- Experience with export markets and international trade procedures
- Knowledge of agricultural cooperatives and smallholder farmer networks
