Job Title: Area Sales Executive (Edible Oil)
Locations: Lagos, Ondo & Rivers

Job Summary
- We are seeking experienced Area Sales Executives with a strong background inedible oil sales to manage and grow our market presence in Lagos, Rivers, and Akure.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for distributor management, route-to-market execution, sales target achievement, and market intelligence gathering within their assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets for edible oil products
- Manage and supervise distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers within assigned territory
- Develop and execute route-to-market strategies to expand product availability
- Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and order patterns
- Conduct regular field visits to trade outlets to ensure visibility, pricing compliance, and merchandising standards
- Identify and onboard new distributors and high-volume customers
- Collect and report market intelligence: competitor activities, pricing trends, consumer preferences
- Manage trade credit and ensure timely collections within approved limits
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely deliveries
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, journey plans, and expense reports
- Resolve distributor and customer complaints promptly
- Train and guide distributor sales representatives on product knowledge and sales techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 to 6 years of sales experience in the edible oil industry (must have)
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of the edible oil distribution landscape in Lagos, Rivers, or Ondo State(depending on applied location)
- Existing relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in the assigned territory
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic sales reporting
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within territory
- Residency within or near the assigned territory (Lagos, Port Harcourt, or Akure).
Added Advantage:
- Experience selling packaged edible oils
- Existing distributor network in the target location
- Experience with FMCG distribution models (General Trade / Modern Trade)
- Knowledge of trade marketing and in-store merchandising.
