Job Title: Hatchery Manager

Job Summary

• The Hatchery Manager will oversee all hatchery operations, ensuring efficient incubation, high hatchability, high-quality chicks, biosecurity compliance, effective manpower supervision, and achievement of operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily hatchery operations and production schedules.
• Ensure optimal hatchability and chick quality standards.
• Supervise hatchery staff and monitor performance.
• Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity and operational procedures.
• Monitor incubation systems, hatchery equipment, and maintenance activities.
• Analyse hatchery performance data and prepare management reports.
• Manage chick vaccination, processing, and dispatch operations.
• Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• B.Sc / HND in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hatchery management experience in a reputable poultry organisation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Sound knowledge of hatchery operations, incubation systems, and biosecurity practices.
• Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.
