Job Summary
- The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and delivering strategic and operational projects across the Bank.
- The role ensures that all initiatives are aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives and delivered within approved timelines, scope, and budget.
- The successful candidate will provide project oversight, performance monitoring, and strategic support to the Head, Strategy & Planning while ensuring effective stakeholder management, governance compliance, and operational efficiency across all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project charters, implementation plans, timelines, and schedules aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.
- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, resource requirements, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to minimise project disruption.
- Ensure compliance with approved governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, records, and version control processes.
- Work closely with the Head, Strategy & Planning to ensure alignment between projects and the Bank’s strategic roadmap.
- Prepare and present regular project status updates, reports, and performance dashboards to senior management and project steering committees.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication of project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
- Support the monitoring and execution of the Bank’s strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
- Provide strategic insights, reporting, and data analytics to track progress against strategic objectives.
- Participate in business performance reviews, strategic planning sessions, workshops, and annual planning activities.
- Develop project budgets and monitor expenditure to ensure projects remain within approved financial limits.
- Optimise resource allocation and utilisation to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers to ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and timelines.
- Support performance management activities, including staff supervision, appraisals, and development where applicable.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Percentage of projects delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder satisfaction ratings on project execution and delivery.
- Percentage of strategic initiatives successfully executed.
- Number of risks and issues proactively resolved without escalation.
- Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project reports and documentation.
- Contribution to the achievement of the Bank’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Efficiency in resource utilisation and budget management.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Professional certification in Project Management such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum is required.
- 5–7 years of experience in project management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of strategy execution, business transformation, and performance monitoring.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional, high-impact, and enterprise-wide projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and deliver projects successfully within agreed timelines and budgets.

- Good understanding of banking operations, compliance requirements, and the regulatory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable project plans.
Salary
N1,000,000 - N3,000,000 monthly.
